Mr. Safarhi M Brooks, Funeral Director and Embalmer
I am a third-generation funeral director, born in Anderson, IN. My father, Edward L. Brooks, owned and operated Brooks Memorial Chapel for an impressive 35 years. In 1999, I moved to Jeffersonville, IN, where I attended Mid-America College of Funeral Service from 1999 to 2001, graduating in 2001. I am now a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in both Kentucky and Indiana. I consider myself incredibly blessed, honored, and humbled to have been called back into funeral service. To me, funeral service is not just a profession, but a true calling. Having experienced the loss of both my parents at a young age, I understand firsthand the importance of providing exceptional care during such a difficult time. I believe that keen attention to detail is crucial in our line of work. It is our responsibility to create a safe space for grieving families to mourn and to help them understand the significance of the funeral home they choose and the compassionate mortuary staff who can alleviate as much burden as possible. The grief process is emotionally challenging and draining, and it is our duty to support families during this time. Our loved ones are the most precious aspects of our lives, and being entrusted with their care and memorialization when they pass is a sacred responsibility. Providing services and grief support to the surviving family and friends is a privilege that I hold dear.
